A less grindy way to get mending

Mending is a game changer. However, it's major flaw is that the only ways to get lots of mending books are to build farms or spend tons of time collecting resources, which are both things plenty of players find boring. My proposal is as follows: Make some kind of structure that is difficult to take control of with an immovable block that allows the player to farm mending. Not necessarily emeralds (although raid farms make farming emeralds so easy that why not), but the only really important thing is that mending will be farmable via much less grindy methods. As for the details of what the structure would look like it doesn't really matter as long as it can't be cheesed.

Ps: Maybe have an iceologer-like mob as part of the challenge since people clearly want the iceologer in the game in some form, but I trust mojang to figure out the details.
