Many of us who purchased legacy Minecraft accounts do not have the original email which means we do not have the transaction ID that is in that email. YOU KNOW THIS. We are blocked from logging onto minecraft.net as we do not have an email address, even though FAQs keep telling us to log on there. We can't migrate either so that route is closed to us.
The only place Legacy Accounts can log on is via the Launcher.
Suggestion. If we can log in with our Minecraft username/password, allow us to specify a new migration email address, and for the next several weeks, show on launcher that account is being moved to the new email address.
For safety, you can provide a button or box to click WITH CONFIRMATION showing this is suspicious activity and to hold for confirmation. If its clicked, then go ahead with requiring ID. If no one marks that it is suspicious, allow the migration to occur.
Allow this new email address to be used for migration or it doesn't help.
But please don't take accounts from us that we paid for. Its wrong.
