Ancient Hunts are a new gamemode that allow players to get some of the best items in the game. While this is good, it adds to the endgame only to a very limited extent. There is no harder difficulty we need these gilded items for. It is also a complete waste of time grinding for the perfect gilded item you want, since there are too many layers of RNG piled onto getting what you want. Something that gives players more agency on enchantments can fix this issue, as well as further rebalancing of Apocalypse+ to make it an actual challenge - i.e making it more skill and agency based rather than based on your gear choices.
Ancient Mob frequency and balancing is something I would like to see ongoing work on. Ancient Mobs are too sparse in hunts as of now, I once invested max points (9), and investing in 3 unique items with an artefact with 2 runes, and got all gold rooms. This is not even remotely balanced. On the part of balancing, the Abominable Weaver's escorts should have Quick and Burning rather than Deflect, and the Weaver itself should take 5 seconds to regenerate health rather than 1. Unbreakable One should have its movement speed reduced.
Finally, the game should shuffle between new tiles and secrets in hunts to keep things fresh. This could work like daily trials, where the servers shuffle from modifiers and variables everyday. Similarly, a hidden system that shuffles between new tiles in hunts every week would be nice. Thanks for reading my feedback! :3
