I thought about the new world generation. And to be honest, it's pretty hostile and i think a player could use some friends down there. What i propose is a new kind of silverfish. How would it work:
x% chance of spawning a "friendly" silverfish. Of course, you'll have to tame him. I thought that moss bush or some azalea thing (maybe some berries?) could be used to tame him.
The purpose of... Let's call him mousefish :D
I thought that he could glow in the dark, that could be useful in a caves. He could also be used to sniff for ores. For e.g. you would give him food, and he would search for closest ore (3 blocks deep for e.g.) He would "sniff" around a wall, and if he finds something, he would jump up and down (or he could make a noise, or he would start "breaking the block in the direction of the ore")
How would he look?
I thought about green color with orage-ish tint, since it corresponds to lush caves biome. Physically he could look like a retextured silverfish.
Idea: He could be fed redstone or lapis (maybe for some traits, change of color, or simply another food source)
