Cave update snapshot! Ore distribution

I find that playing on the current snapshot, copper has become far too common as an ore with very few current uses while I'm finding it very difficult to find others. Coal is probably my next most found but I think that iron has become too few and far between as probably one of the most useful resources. While the massive caves are awesome, I've found that they still don't offer much for mining except for gold, coal and occasional iron, and have only been able to find one diamond so far. I feel like it would be beneficial to make ores slightly less difficult to find with the new world depth limits so that it doesn't get annoying/disheartening. And the amethyst caves are beautiful! the unique sounds are so lovely.

    Same thing!  After a couple weeks (in game), I am still using stone tools because I can't find enough iron.  Additionally, instead of one large mine to find a bit of everything, I am having to build mines on different levels to find different things, and they are very far apart.  Please improve the ore distribution for the final release

    yeah iron is impossible to find, how can i mine other ores that require iron pickaxe if i cant even find iron in the first place? i really dont like the new ore distribution

    I actually like that iron is rarer early-game because it gives a much needed challenge for moving from stone to iron.
