There are 2 types of chameleons: Jungle and desert. The jungle chameleon hangs out in jungle leaves. The desert chameleon lives on cacti and is invulnerable to it. The desert chameleon and husk attack each other. The jungle chameleon can climb around in all leaves and all logs, if attacked by the player or any mob (the parrot is the natural predator) it cloaks itself. Upon killing the jungle chameleon you can get camouflage scale(s). You can surround doors and trapdoors with scales and they camouflage to nearby blocks. Desert chameleons are spawned more often and drop dry scales, 1 dry scale can be crafted with 1 camouflage scale to create 2 rejuvenated scales that can't be crafted again. You can also surround leather armor pieces with scales to make camo armor, wearing this gives you the ability to be invisible when you sneak but like soul speed, it loses durability with every use, but it can be repaired by placing camo scales in an anvil. you can also create dry scale armor that has built-in thorns but loses durability in water, in the desert its powers are strengthened. Dry chameleons have 2 growth stages but unlike most the 1st stage isn't useless, after a long time the dry chameleon turns into a giant chameleon with increased damage. A giant chameleon eats rotten flesh and rabbit meat, you can tame a giant chameleon with rabbit meat and it will follow you attacking your enemies, like a wolf. To heal the giant chameleon you use rotten flesh, it loves rotten flesh from husks.
