Access to Older Versions if Previously Purchased Minecraft before 2018.

Today I attempted to redownload minecraft for nostalgia and was sad to find out my previously purchased token is no longer available on my account.  I purchased minecraft in ~2013 and stopped playing around 2017.  I realize that I have missed the window for a free upgrade to the new version, but it still stings that i no longer have access to my old version of minecraft.  I believe that it would be fair and appreciated if an archive version (perhaps one that does not include official server support) would remain available for those customers who may have left and wish to return now or sometime in the future.
