hopefully someone else shares this great idea, i hate installing multiple texture packs
Ive come to an idea for texturepacks, tho i'm not really sure if it would be possible or realistic enough for minecraft to become an actual thing.
The idea for the texturepacks is: imaging installing 10 the same texturepacks everytime just so you have that version on that mc version everytime.
Well have i come to an solution add texturepack version support for multiple versions, i was thinking of maybe they could create something to make a texturepack with a Version Folder (inside the texture pack.)
the versions you want to be supported in that texturepack must be written inside a .txt and then you need to create those versions inside that version file. (Example: You made a 1.12 pack you write 1.12 in the .txt, you'll have to keep repeating this for each version you add)
To use that version you provided in the .txt you have to create a 1.12 (same for any version you want to add) folder inside the "Versions Folder"
(In-Game)
In the texture pack tab you can see your texturepack with lets say (you have added multiple versions "1.8, 1.12, 1.16" you'll see a red marker "!" meaning that there's more versions supported for this texturepack and you can click on the "!" showing you all the versions it supports and you can pick the right one!
Yes it might all look very "complicated" well its just a feature i would love to see in a near future update!
