Generic Single Colored Capes for Player skins

Capes have always been a special thing given to Minecraft players through special events, but what if players want their character to have a cape because it's part of their design (Like a superman minecraft skin, for example)? I think it would be cool if minecraft had generic basic colored capes that change color based on hex codes (similar to how sheep wool, dog collars, and leather armor) that could be given to a skin via the Minecraft Launcher. It would allow more options for people, but still allow the unique special event capes to be special, given that they have unique textures instead.

    Because capes can ONLY be gotten from events and stuff, so a lot of people don't have any capes at all.

    This would be a way for them to actually give their character a cape (because I know for a fact that a lot of people use skins of characters that normally wear capes). I'm all for keeping the OG capes, and having the emblems be event exclusive, but what I want is for it to actually be possible to get capes without going to some kind of event, because some people simply can't.

    Great explanation up top Lasercraft 32, Capes represent a feeling of achievement though, you sort of have to achieve it, if you could have custom capes then everyone would have them and the special ones wouldn't be so... special.
