Every Month or maybe every year Minecraft should do an event that could be $5 to enter and each year it could be something different. Pvp, Building, esc. To make it worth the players money there can be a special item a cape or something like that. The larger prizes can be for 10k-50k for major prizes that would be cool. This could be a new way for Minecraft to make a lot of money because like how are they making money I don't know anyone who buys coins this could be a way for them to start grinding and gives players a new way to play.
