I thought that it would be quite interesting to have the endless mode take place in a camp. And you can start it by talking to a captured pillager that you could find in areas like Highblock. Because in regular MC, pillager captains can give you the Bad Omen Effect, which if you enter a village, would start a raid. Since camp has villagers in and would technically be classified as eligible for a raid. Using a raid captain would make some sense. You would collect him after beating him in a boss battle.
Because in squid coast, you enter the camp from near the water by the bridge, the mobs could come from there mainly but there could be other places. Nether mobs would come from the Piglin Merchant area as there is an active portal there.
The levels would increasingly get harder, as endless modes do, meaning higher chances of getting bigger mobs, such as LeapLeaf, Ravager and maybe minibosses like the Enderman could spawn.
It could start off seeming as if it was default level 1. But could ramp up to Apocalypse +25 or higher.
There could be milestones every 25 waves, where a boss would spawn. They would have a higher chance to drop uniques than anywhere else, but only above Apocalypse+
There would be unique loot for this and maybe would be classed as a daily trial as to not be able to grind it too easily.
The trial would grant you small amounts of emeralds and a rare chance for loot early game, but later on, you might be getting 5-10 emeralds per mob.
