So, this post is not "make java menus more like bedrock" or "make bedrock menus more like java". It is about finding what's good in both versions and port it to the other until the menus on both versions are very similar. So: Inventories and crafting GUIs are better on Java. They are more logical and better-looking. The only thing that should be brought to Bedrock is X buttons, but they should be optional. Also, the recipe book view toggle is better on Java, because it only uses one toggleable button, not two buttons for "inventory modes". The recipe book itself also works better on Java because "Craftable" only shows what you can craft right now. The All tab, though, is better on Bedrock, because you get all recipes, and you can know what you need for a specific item you want. Moving on to the main menu, smaller white-on-gray buttons like Java look better, but the highlight should be green. Only the menu one, the inventory one should still be white. The Singleplayer and Multiplayer options should not be combined into Play, they should be left as-is. And the feautred servers should be added by default, not mandatory. The options screen should be like on Java, more easy to use, maybe only replace ON/OFF buttons with checkboxes. And the dirt background should be kept. Marketplace should not be brought over, same with friends. If you port friends to Java, they should be managed using the launcher. Also, no Minecrafter or Noto Sans fonts, they don't fit.
