Heat Distortion

Whilst in a hot area, such as deserts, the nether or near lava, your vision would blur a little in the edges and on faraway objects
Terraria has a similar feature, and it looks pretty nice!
It would probably only be on the "Fabloulus" graphics setting in order to stop people's computers from becoming microwaves.

    This does sound like a quite good idea but it doesn’t really sound like a minecrafty kind of feature
