boulders and rocks generating around the land

it is a small detail, but i think these details give quite a bit of life and a story to a place. its like those epiphanies some people have when looking at a random boulder that once might have been far up a mountain, and fell to settle in the new place, or a mossy rock that was washed up by rain and wind until they surfaced. 
it can be done as structures just like the wrecked ships, and the frequency can be adjusted depending on the biome, more near the upcoming mountains and rivers less in deserts and plains.

    Having big boulders but on rare occasions only is also cool tho
