Bats could attack a player, if they were in an light level higher than 10, this way, it could add a new kind of gameplay tatic, because if you doesnt want to be attacked by bats, you shouldnt put too many torches on the caves.
This way, the bats wont be able to spawn in a high light level, and their spawn rate at deepslate caves should increase.
That could be implemented as a new type of bat, like the spider and the cave spider, this way, the normal bat wont change, and the characteristics will be in the new bat, and like the cave spiders, it could put poison on the player, when deal damage.
The normal bat, could be more common in large caves, because would be nice to see they sleeping at the top, and lots of bats flying around when you place a torch, but when you are admiring they beautiness, be aware, because one of them can be the poisonous one, and it can attack you, but just if you annoy them...
I dont think the bat should drop something more than xp, but the xp could be higher, if it change to a hostile mob.
