Can't get to purchased download

Initially I downloaded the free trail version of the Java Edition.  I created a Microsoft account to do so with the GamerTag "BuilderDude123."  Once done, I decided to purchase the Java Edition.  After paying, it asked me to create a new GamerTag which I did: "BuilderDude6".  Now, whenever I log into Minecraft with my only Microsoft account, it leads me to the GamerTag "BuilderDude123" and it only shows the option to play the demo version.  In the meantime, the installed version has been removed.  

How do I connect to my paid version under the GamerTag "BuilderDude6" and how do I re-install it since I just paid for it?

    My grandson and I can't log in either to paid version only the demo version!
