Resource Pack Transparency Override

If a resource pack contains a block texture with transparency, and the associated vanilla block texture had no transparency (eg. dirt, stone, netherrack) then the texture should render without transparency.

By which I mean, Minecraft should have built-in anti-xray measures.

    I think this is already the case, and it should be the opposite. If I want to change dirt so that it has transparent holes, I should be able to do so. I don't see why someone should be limited to making only certain blocks transparent
