More efficient slime Redstone

I was just building a flying machine when I realized That it was extremely hard to decorate a flying machine, this idea could be used for things other than decorating flying machines. The idea is that you could slather slime in blocks and stick them together like you would with slime blocks, but the thing sticking the blocks together wouldn’t take up a whole block of space, and since the slime slathering wouldn’t take up a whole block, it wouldn’t add to the amount of blocks your pistons can push, it would really save a lot of space and efficiency
