Problem
In my browser's settings, I have English set as my default main language, with Polish set as an additional language as I sometimes type in Polish.
Because of this, whenever I load any website, the language header my browser sends looks like this:
accept-language: en-GB,en;q=0.9,pl;q=0.8
The first language is English (UK), followed by English, and then finally at THE END, Polish.
Every website understands this correctly, and displays in either UK English, or (if that is unavailable) any other English it can.
But not the Minecraft website. Minecraft.net sees Polish at the end of the list, and decides that that is the language I want to see. This wouldn't be too much of an issue, if not for the fact the Polish version of the website if very badly translated, with a lot of text missing.
Furthermore, after manually switching the language at the bottom of the website, minecraft.net forgets it after refreshing (it actually doesn't even let me open the menu any more, just jumps me to the top of the site).
Solutions
- If the Minecraft website correctly recognized the language header sent by the browser, and showed the correct language, like literally any other website.
- If the Minecraft website actually remembered the chosen language and didn't revert me to Polish after refresh.
