One tedious aspect of Minecraft is constantly trying to light up large areas sufficiently in order to create mob farms or just bases that are safe to be in. This will become way more tedious with the new caves, as there will be very large areas underground to light up just to be able to use a simple farm. I think beacons should be able to block mob spawns in various different radius’ based on what ingot you use to activate them. Iron ingots wouldn’t block spawns, gold would make a small radius of spawn blocking, emerald a little bigger, diamond bigger still, with netherite ingots topping the list, able to block spawning in large areas. This makes the feature less overpowered and makes the player pay a price to have mob spawning blocked.
