/mount command (Java)

There is currently no way to force a player to ride a minecart or any mountable entity. A command to do so would be extremely nice for mapmakers.

The /mount command could work similarly to the /ride command from bedrock edition (it could even use the exact same syntax and be called /ride, see the syntax for that here: https://minecraft.gamepedia.com/Commands/ride) or it could use the syntax of the /spectate command (specifying a target player and location).

Overall, I think a /mount command would be extremely nice for mapmakers. Thanks for reading!

  just think: mount a player to an invisible minecart, and then have a repeating command block that teleports that to a moving armor stand! It seems silly but a lot of map makers (me included) have trouble with that exact situation simply because the player position is a lot harder to keep track of by the game so it gets super jitter-y when teleporting them to a position rapidly. This would fix a lot of headaches!
