Java Parity, Smelting Cactus Should Give 1 Exp Instead of 0.1 Exp

On java edition, smelting cactus gives you 1 experience per cactus smelted. On bedrock edition smelting cactus only gives you 0.1 experience. This is a huge parity issue, especially for those of us who want to use cactus for exp storage bank and repair stations.

An example, smelting 10 cactus on java gives you over 3 levels, but on bedrock gives less than 1 level.

This was reported to the bug tracker as MCPE-58660 but that was closed, since this is a parity issue and too old to be on the tracker.
