mathematics in commands

I think that if mathematical functions were in commands it would be relatively easy to program, and would greatly expand the possibilities of commands. for instance if you used the coordinates; (~-50)(-1)+50 ~ ~, the command would mirror your position based on 50 of the X axis. this, I believe would be very helpful, and fun to play with.
