Have you ever been so far into a Minecraft world where you have full lvl.30 enchanted netherite tools and armor, stacks of extra diamonds, and no desire to even step into a mine anymore? Well, adding two new villager types - Warrior and Archer villagers - would drastically change late-game Minecraft. Having these new villager types with the ability to wear and use old weapons and armor created by the player will drastically shift the need for players to have extra resources that they typically wouldn't get far into their Minecraft world. I've been in the situation many times where I have God armor and tools and then I find awesome diamond loot in the End villages that I don't even take back to my base. Why would I? I have no need for a protection III diamond chestplate when I have Netherite armor right? Well, with having these new villager types you can easily give them your extra armor and weapons and feel relieved they are actually being put to good use. Once you have created a commune of warrior and archer villagers, you will have no need to worry about the safety of the other villagers!
Furthermore, adding special village types that have some sort of walls surrounding them, or even just a barracks building, would be an awesome way to see these new villager types generated naturally. I'm surprised Mojang has not come up with a way to put old valuable weapons and armor to use yet, this would be a great way!
