Better Mules(Armor + Chests)

As of right now, mules from a gameplay standpoint are a harder to get donkey that doesn’t breed. I think that since it is a mixture of a horse and a donkey it would make sense to allow mules to have armor as well as a chest. This would give an actual reason to breed a horse and a donkey, as it would have the benefit of both. I don’t think it’s too unreasonable to do as it’s not game breaking or unbalanced. Plus, there would still be the challenge of breeding the best horse and best donkey beforehand to get the best mule since they can’t breed.

    Absolutely agreed. Real life mules have the versatility of both horses and donkeys. Tougher and faster than donkeys and hardier than horses. Very good at high jumping too, so they should have at least the possibility of inheriting a hefty jump. Their running speed tends to be around 80% that of horses, so still faster than donkeys. But yeah, the choice of armor or chest should go without saying
