The badlands being able to have their version of the husk with a different texture could be possible. As with the husk with the idea of adapting to the desert biome which is why they don't burn could be made the same with the badlands because of their similar temperature of heat in the sun.
The texture of the husk in badlands will be changed to have a more red orange color to match the red sand being found there.
