Spiders in Minecraft

I want to see a setting which disables spider spawning, as many people like me are arachnophobic. This has stopped me from playing on easy, normal or hard mode as I don’t want to encounter spiders. Thanks so much.

Get a repeating command block and input the command /kill @e[type=spider]. You will need another one but replace spider with cave_spider

Given that Minecraft already has similar gamerules to stop other mobs spawning (wandering trader, phantoms, pillager patrols) I don't know why there isn't one for spiders.
