Miner Villager (Buying Ores)

In villages, we never really see an explanation on how villagers get anything they sell.

I offer a fix for some of that, with the miner job. The job block for this villager could perhaps be the regular furnace, but even that seems like a stretch. I don't think I can come up with anything in that regard, so I'll let others decide.

In terms of trades, the villager would sell any ore (based on random chance as it levels up) starting with coal, and maybe it would buy stone or iron pickaxes. As it levels, the value of ores it would sell would increase, perhaps ending in diamonds, or even ancient debris (which would have to be very expensive for even just one). Of course that could be exploited with the insane amounts of emeralds people are able to get, also making it possible to get netherite before entering the nether. And I agree with you, that would be way overpowered. So perhaps you could make it so it could only get the ancient debris trade while leveled up in the nether.
