Option to disable recipe book

I think there should be an option in settings to disable the recipe book or at least make it always closed by default, I find it annoying that it always fills the crafting grid every time and I have to close and reopen the menu, plus I prefer the old “figure it out/remember it” method.

It is so heck based thing, OMG. Why did they AT ALL need to add it when everything worked so well before? The recipe for the first wooden pick was passed from mouth to mouth, from older brother to younger, from father to son! Damn, i'm so missing the times when game was simpler...
