When you are making your redstone suggestions, please note that Java and Bedrock will not have the exact same the same redstone systems - this would require redoing redstone system completely on one platform or the other. The two systems are functionally different and are going to stay that way. Please be sure to tag your suggestions with (Java) or (Bedrock).

Right-click on rails to rotate them.

This idea is similar to the recent feature where you can right click redstone to change between a cross and a dot. I suggest that if you right-click a rail, in any of its forms, it will rotate 90 degrees. This would be possible regardless of how it is connected to other rails. Rails always face a certain cardinal direction by default and they pick favorites in terms of what they connect to, which can render some complex rail setups impossible. This would fix that issue.

    I wouldn't have it simply rotate but swap through various directions based upon what it can connect to

    I'm guessing you mean, like, a regular rail changing between being curved and being straight?

    Maybe right click to rotate and control + right click to curve/straighten the rail.
