I'm honestly surprised this isn't a thing, though so are a lot of people.
I'll get through the basics of the idea - Beehive as a workstation and the new profession.
They would only appear in Plains and Savannah Villages.
Alright, what trades would they offer?
Novice:
9 - 11 Poppies or Dandelions for an Emerald (Cutoff 7)
1 Emerald for 3 Honeycomb (Cutoff 5)
Apprentice:
1 Emerald for a Bottle of Honey (Cutoff 9)
1 Bottles for an Emerald (Cutoff 4)
Journeyman:
5 - 7 emeralds for a Beehive (Cutoff 3)
3 Emeralds for a 5 Honeycomb Block (Cutoff 6)
Expert:
3 Emeralds for a Honey Block (Cutoff 5)
Any 2 block flower for 1 emerald (Cutoff 7)
Master:
1 Emerald for 3 Stingers (Cutoff 8)
1 Emerald for Suspicious Stew
Now, stingers are not in game, now are they? What are they for?
Well, they would allow for the crafting of Stinger Arrows, arrows that would allow for greater damage output. Obviously the first concern here would be, "Couldn't I just kill Bees to get them?". Well, no. They'd only be obtainable through trade. Incentivizing more Villager interaction and a greater reason to have Bees in a town, without giving the player a reason to commit Buzzy Butchery.
Stinger Arrows could be used on Bows and Crossbows. They would give a 1.5 time damage bonus, and this would scale up to Power II, and any higher Power Enchant would still take this bonus into account, but would not add the other power levels to the damage calculated. Stinger Arrows would not be compatible with Infinity Bows or Multishot Crossbows.
