    darknessfrog i think they mean that there is a discrepancy between java and bedrock where there shouldn't be

    It's interesting that you bring up FOV. I think Pocket Edition (back when it was called that) originally started with a very long reach because of the wide FOV on phone screens. However, since Bedrock is a convergent, multiplatform version now, it needs to look right on all platforms, not JUST on phones. It should have been changed long ago.

    On mobile block reach is 12 (only in creative) but on another platform is 5 (normal block reach)

    I feel like Java Edition's should be extended to match that of Bedrock's if one were to change. Just because a feature is realistic does not mean it is better. Realism in Minecraft's light fantasy game design should only be used to make something more intuitive to the player- for example- crying obsidian in the old survival tests used to set your spawn point but were scrapped for beds because they make more sense for that function.
