The Raven (flying neutral mob, explanation below)

Will spawn at night in forests and if a swarm of ravens is big enough they will become hostile and attack the player. They will be black with red eyes and they will stand on trees watching the player intensly as he passes throught he forest, and maybe following the player, giving a scary 'I'm watching you' vibe.

Some of them will spawn in the daytime too but at night the spawn rate increases

    They should have yellow eyes, but they could turn red when they attack

    There could also be a zombie version (stygian birds) that spawns rarely among them and mitigates 3-5 dammage (because the stygian birds were supposedly like that) It is hostile and will turn other ravens into stygian birds.

    You should be able to tame them by regular walks through the forest, if you do this they will see you as passive but will still attack but if you kill a mob while they're watching they will see you as nice but strong and not want to kill you then feed them some bones an you have a pet raven, (if it works like that) if you don't like this, maybe you could scare your friends with them
