Fairies

Fairies can be a new mob, located in Roofed Forests, the Nether, and caves. The Fairies could have the old Rena skin, and be just as big as the Vex. The ones in the Roofed Forests can have a green color and provide light, the ones in the caves are blue and rare but lead you to ores or chests, and the Nether Fairies are red and lead you to a fortress, because with the new Nether update finding Fortresses is even harder. 

The green Fairies are docile and don't run away from the player, and they fight mobs. The blue fairies don't provide light, but they spawn in caves and every time the player gets close they run to a chest or some ore. The red Fairies run from the player to the nearest Nether Fortress. 

That basically sums up my idea, feel free to add on and let's see if the Mojang staff will consider this.

    I think it would be more fitting if green faries helped you fight mobs by giving you buffs or healing you, rather than fighting mobs themselves. But either way, or even in a way different from what either of us had said altogether, fairies in Mincraft are an absolute must. And while I do personally think that it's kind of unfitting to have faries fight directly, it's not that unfitting (you know this especially well if you have played Touhou Project).
