A new early-game boss.

Both of the current Minecraft bosses can be considered as in the end-game as they are very strong. Perhaps introducing a new ocean or spider boss could bring a new challenge to early-game Minecraft. It could also slow the progression of the game down, which would likely be a good implication, as the current pacing of Minecraft can be very fast. I am not saying to go full-on Terraria here with a bunch of bosses, just one or two early game ones.

    Yes! I was wanting this. Let it drop a special set of armor or a weapon that will make it easier to progress in the game
