Make Slimes spawn only in dark

Slimes can spawn no matter how bright it is, I wish they would only spawn in the dark. I built a somewhat large base underground, in Java Edition, and have managed to expand into multiple slime chunks, now I have slimes running amok absolutely everywhere. It has become very expensive to deal with all of them, and I do not want to abandon this home. Please help, and thank you for reading this.

    With the addition of frogs, Slimes could be scared of them, and so slime farms could be done in another way. It doesn't break the possibility of a slime farm and still fix this issue.

    Slimes could have a biome-specific spawn, just like the husks and the strays, and spawn only on dark places in swamp, mangrove swamp (if it will be a thing), and lush caves (because it's wet).
