Axolotls are a species of amfibians that normally stay "babies" forever. Scientists have found that giving them iodine turns them into a regular salamander "adult" form that never occurs in nature. A cool easter egg would be if axolotls turn into these adult forms if given some iodine-containing material.
Milk, seaweed and some fish contain a lot of iodine, but axolotls might encounter seaweed and fish normally, so milk would probably be the best. Sea water also contains a lot of iodine, but again, that is too prevalent.
"adult" axolotls aren't very healthy, so it might be something like when bees sting you such that they recieve damage in the "adult" state.
This won't add very much to the game, but I think it would be a cool science fact.
