Mice

Mice - Spawn in covered spaces, within a certain radius of chests (silverfish sized, but non aggressive) deplete food counts from chests. Can climb vertically and get into hard to reach spots. 

 

Owls hunt them at night.

 

I think this would be a fun update, because it would add an interesting mechanic food in chests getting consumed. Also, if owls were added too, this would provide food for them to hunt (with frogs).

    While I don't think players would like mice stealing items from them, I do support them being added to the game. I think that it would give more interaction with some of the other animals in the game. Mice would be prey to foxes, cats, parrots, wild dogs even eat mice. It would also be nice if we could tame them and have them as pets.

    Yes and it would add to securing your chests even on a single player.

    It would add onto the abandoned villages if mice were present and scurried around when the player gets close to them. It would also be neat if they spawned in player-made structures in chunks that have not been entered in many in game days. They could also chew through tripwire
