I really want to see villages expanded on more. even after 1.14, villagers are still kind of boring. I want the player to feel almost overwhelmed by villages. my ideas are as follows:
1. villagers trade among themselves.
for example, a lumberjack could trade wood to a farmer for some bread. then the farmer could use the wood to make baked potatoes, then sell the baked potatoes to a tool smith for a wooden hoe. you see where I'm going with this.
2. lumberjack
a new profession that will cut down trees, replant them. simple enough.
3. better fishermen.
fishermen will actually go fishing, cook their catch and sell it.
4. use of tools
the lumberjack can use his fists, but would prefer an axe. the farmer could use a hoe to replough the fields (thanks a lot golem).
5. prospector
a villager who generates iron (perhaps at his workstation, or by, prospecting.) then sells it to...
6. craftsmen.
tool smiths, armorers, and maybe weapon smiths, will be the only ones that can craft things. they could make tools to sell to the others. maybe wooden or stone tools so that the player won't exploit this.
7. butchery
perhaps the butcher could purchase sheep from the shepherd, and make mutton.
8. the wandering trader
an endless source of iron, wood, and food for the villages that are missing professions.
9. strengthening the community golem
the professions that would otherwise be useless (like armorers) could make things to give to the golem, and better equip it to defend them.
thanks for reading!
