Something that has always bugged me about the way Minecraft handles the first-person viewmodel: Why is my off-hand amputated?
I would really like to see an option in either the Accessibility menu or the Skin menu that toggles rendering of the off-hand, allowing those that want it to see both hands at the same time. This wouldn't be a gameplay change, as it is only a rendering feature, therefore gameplay wouldn't become unbalanced in any way.
On top of this, if off-hand rendering is added, there is one other option that would be very nice to see as a QoL inclusion:
There should be an option to toggle making the off-hand do the Activate animation instead of the main hand. Again, this would not change gameplay mechanics, and would be purely cosmetic. More often than not my off-hand either has a shield or is completely empty, or occasionally has an unimportant item in it. It would make more sense to open doors with that hand rather than attempting to twiddle a door knob with my sword hilt.
As it would be purely visually cosmetic and not change gameplay, and since it would be a toggleable option (Defaulted to Disabled), this would make both sides of this post happy. People like me who want more immersion with the visible hand, and those who prefer faithful main-hand-only visibility.
(Note: Not sure if this should be in UI/IME/Menu Options, or in Graphics, as it kind of matches both equally, so for the time being it will be in UI as it probably encompasses more.)
