Toggle nether portal screen animation

So my boyfriend has epilepsy, minecraft for the most part is fine for him to play but when he needs to enter the nether, the waviness of the portal (when you enter it) makes it hard for him, so he has to look away from the screen and I usually have to guide him through it. My suggestion is that if the player turns 'screen animations' off, it should not do the wavy screen effect of the portal, it'd help people with major epilepsy and might also help people who get easily motion sick.
