Underwater Villages with Mermaid Villagers

I was boating through the ocean with my friend and I thought it would be so cool if there were underwater villages and the villagers were mermaids instead of it just being empty or having regular villagers. Chests could have hearts of the sea or other similar things that you would find underwater like coral that you could bring back to your base without needing a silk touch pickaxe. It would be somewhat of a challenge for players because you would need some kind of underwater breathing in order to fully explore the village. It would give players more of an opportunity to use coral as decorative blocks  since it isn't easy to obtain. I also think the mermaids would be a cool addition because villagers have different outfits depending on the biome so this could add to that variation. Sirens could also be added as a new mob and could lurk near the villages and have a negative effect on players. I just think that this would add even more to the ocean and make it a bigger part of the game.
