How can we improve the existing moving creatures of Minecraft? Show us your coolest fantasy creatures. This would be a bird with an onboard inventory that has a specific slot for a lodestone compass. When the inventory is closed, the pigeon would fly across the map to the lodestone and wait for further instruction. I know this would be a nightmare for chunkloading, so maybe there could be some mild teleportation involved, like with pets out of range.
