I suggest that Redstone Repeaters are separated into three new components, each for one of their three main uses. Redstone Repeaters should still be kept, but there should be separate components for each of its uses as well. This is because when using repeaters, these uses can clash and make it tedious to incorporate them into circuits. First, Redstone Repeaters amplify signals. So, there should be a new Redstone component with the sole use of amplifying signals. It would not delay the signal nor act as a diode and only allow for the signal to travel in one direction. Second, Redstone Repeaters delay signals. There should be a new Redstone component that has the sole use of delaying signals. It would not act as a diode and only allow for the signal to travel in one direction nor amplify a signal. Lastly, Redstone Repeaters act as diodes and only allow a signal to move in one direction. There should be a new Redstone component that has the sole use of acting as a diode. It would not delay nor amplify.
