Always wondered what causes the weirdness when you spawn a world. Perfectly straight lines defining missing chunks of trees, mountains, and even buildings. The floating terrain and water that doesn't spill out of missing terrain is weird, some kind of Pandora physics anomaly probably, but those missing sections are A-list X-files material.
Is there any chance Minecraft could include some kind of spider-sized tree or rock chomping caterpillar mob to explain it?
The critter doesn't even have to eat anything at all, just show up every now and then. Maybe chomp a block every five minutes or so, then lay a block of dirt (like eggs) or morph into flying things if you wanted. As long as it doesn't explode. Had enough of that. Starting to get a little bit jumpy.
