Glowing players/mobs are marked by spyglass

If anything around you has the Glowing status effect, when you look though a spyglass, an icon of that thing will appear somewhere around the spyglass view pointing you towards its direction so you know which way to turn to see it in view. The color of the arrow could also match the color of the glowing outline. Then when you have it in view you could lock on it and your crosshair will stay following it until you let go or it stops glowing.

    This could also be applied to Banners and maybe beacons, allowing you to find things marked on maps
