Minecraft Cross play (no realms req) - Save on Xbox - load on PC/visa versa

Please allow for us to save our Minecraft world to the cloud and download them on any device without a Minecraft realms purchase requirement.

I love what Microsoft is doing for crossplay features for my New Xbox Series X and my PC allowing users to save money. This seems very unintuitive and behind a paywall. The whole point of crossplay seems to be lost here.
