Weather gradients

There has always been three weathers: clear, rain, and thunder. My suggestion is to break them into separate pieces:clear, partially cloud, overcast, light rain, rain, heavy rain, low lightning, medium lightning, and frequent lightning. This would just effect the amount of clouds inn the sky, raindrops rendered, lightning strikes per minute, and ambient brightness

    I like the idea for the sake of variation. Maybe they could add fog too?

    I agree with having overcast and light/medium/heavy rain but one lightning level is probably enough
