I believe I speak for many when I say that I'm exited for the Caves and Cliffs update, but there is a problem. For people who have explored thousands of block in every direction in their Minecraft world they would have to travel a really far distance to see any of the great new features of the up coming Caves and Cliffs update, and future updates.
So my idea to fix this is that there can be a sub menu where you can see a grid map of you world. Each square of the grid would be one chunk. from there you can delete some chunks and keep others, for example keeping chunks were you built your house and deleting ones with a forest or a desert with nothing in them. So you can delete a chunk and then walk back into it and the chunk will be generated in the new generation. This also doubles as a way to help with storage, by deleting some chunks, you could make the amount of storage space of you Minecraft world requires smaller.
So this system can't get abused, for example by someone repeatedly regenerating a chunk with a chest and getting infinite loot, you would only be able to regenerate parts of you world once for each world each update.
Thanks for reading my suggestion.
