Moving sound on carpet

If you move on the ground you can hear the different types of ground (wood, dirt,...), but the sound stays the same when you placed a carpet. My idea is that if you move on the carpet you'll get a soft sound.

    Hello LightningRod,

    I only hear the soft sound when I jump on the carpet, I dont hear the sound when i'm walking or running...
